Latest News - Having submitted the appropriate documents etc to the Alicante Authorities we are pleased to announce that Barneys have been awarded legal status for our organisation and our Registered Association Number is - CV-01-045701-A.

Unfortunately, like many other animal rescue centres, more & more requests are coming from British people returning to the UK, who are for whatever reason not able to take their pet home with them.
The pressure of dealing with genuine stray & abandoned dogs means that in future if we are able to house any such dogs from returning owners they will be asked for 200€ to support the cost of their care while a suitable home is sought.

Rescue News...
Some of you may be aware that Laurie & Linda Trott have resigned their positions from PAPAS. Also that PAPAS are concentrating on a Sterilization program and will only foster dogs as an emergency. This leaves Barneys as the main rescue body in & around the Pinoso area. It is imperative therefore if you wish to see the continuing fostering of stray & abandoned dogs that you support Barneys in any way you can. It should be noted that Barneys, as a matter of course have their dogs sterilized. Financial donations can be made with a secure Visa transaction, please use the link below.
